Contest Eligibility:

• The Besolar Solar System Giveaway (the “Contest”) is open to all residents of South Vancouver Island who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.  South Vancouver Island defined as all areas South of Herd Road and East of Jordan River.
• The participant must own a qualifying home.
• A qualifying home is one that meets the eligibility requirements for the BC Hydro Grant.
• Employees, immediate family members, and affiliates of Besolar are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
• Participants who purchase a solar system and have it commenced by Besolar between January 1st and December 22nd, 2025, to be eligible for entry into the Contest.

Methods of Entry:

• Participants can enter the Contest by purchasing a solar system from Besolar during the specified contest period.
• Additional entry tickets will be awarded for the following:
  • Adding an EV Charger to the solar system purchase from Besolar.  Proof of purchase required.
  • Referring a qualified lead who subsequently purchases a solar system from Besolar that is commenced before 10:00 AM PST on December 22nd, 2025.  Proof of purchase required, only one participant referral entry per referred project.
  • Adding a battery backup system or transfer switch as part of the solar system purchase from Besolar.  Proof of purchase required.
  • Adding a consumption monitoring system to the solar system installation from Besolar.  Proof of purchase required.

• No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest. Participants can secure an entry by referring a qualified lead who subsequently purchases a solar system from Besolar before December 22nd, 2025.  The referral must be submitted using the Besolar Sweepstakes referral form supplied by Besolar.

Conditions to Satisfy Before Winning:

• To be eligible to win, participants must correctly answer a skill-testing question.
• Participants must agree to a release form, granting Besolar the right to use their name and likeness in promotional materials.

Privacy Notice:

• Besolar will collect and store personal information provided by participants for the purpose of administering the Contest and awarding prizes.
• Personal information will only be used in accordance with Besolar’s Privacy Policy.

Precise Contest Times and Duration:

• The Contest begins at 10:00 AM on January 1st, 2025, and ends at 10:00 AM on December 22nd, 2025.

Circumstances, Time, and Place of Winner Selection:

• The winner of the Contest will be selected via a live stream draw at Besolar headquarters, located at 719 Station Ave, on December 23rd, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
• The winner will be contacted through email and telephone once each day for 3 consecutive days starting on December 23rd, 2025 and will have 14 days from the date of the last attempt of contact to claim the prize.

Alternate Winner Selection:

• In the event that the selected winner is unable or unwilling to claim the prize, an alternate winner will be selected using the same method as the original drawing.  
• Should it be required a second name shall be drawn at 10 am on January 5th, 2026, and so on until a winner can be confirmed. 
• Should the draw date fall on a weekend or Statutory Holiday the draw shall happen on the next business day.

Prizes and Their Value:

• The prize consists of a refund of the solar system and installation cost excluding taxes and shall have an approximate retail value between $2,500 and 25,000 CAD.
• Eligible participants living in a qualifying home who did not have a solar system commenced shall be provided a solar system including installation up to 25,000 CAD in value before applicable taxes.
• Eligible participants living in a home where solar can not be installed shall be awarded a cash value of $2,500 CAD.
• Prize must be fully claimed withing 6 months of award.

General Prize Conditions:

• Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other products or services.
• Winners are responsible for any additional costs associated with the prize.

Products Involved in the Contest:

• The products eligible for entry into the Contest include solar systems, EV Chargers, battery backup systems, transfer switches and monitoring systems provided by Besolar.

Specific Rules for Minors:

• Participants under the age of 18 are not eligible to enter the Contest.

Contest Promoter’s Right to Void or Modify:

• Besolar reserves the right to void or modify the Contest, in whole or in part, if unforeseen circumstances or technical difficulties arise.

Rules about Intellectual Property:

• Participants grant Besolar the right to use any intellectual property contained within their entries for promotional purposes.

Odds of winning:

• Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the applicable drawing.

Referrals:

• Referrals must be for a property that is not the primary residence of the participant making the referral. 

Liability Limitations and Releases:

• As a condition of entry, Participants agree that Besolar shall have no liability for any consequential or indirect damages or for any loss, cost or expenses incurred by a Participant as a result of participating in the Contest or through the use of the prize.
